Girls Action Group (GAG)
Athersley Cares' work with young people is varied and offers educational, recreational and vocational programmes. The work is issue based and programmes are tailored to meet young people's need. Young people are involved in the planning of sessions and Local/National certificates are awarded. GAG is a free group for young women aged 13 to 19 years. Going With The Flow
Hoyland Youth Club delivers an environmental project 'Going with the Flow' that looks at wild food and wild food cookery. Additionally an OCN 'Healthy Eating and Fitness' course is delivered over a 6 week period at Kirk Balk School.

Grimethorpe Activity Zone is a community sector project based within the Acorn Centre, Grimethorpe. It provides young people and the community with a wide range of services that promote regeneration within the local community.
