NCH St Edwins Family Centre
Social Work support/assesment to children and families. Time limited contract work focussing often on family relationships, childcare and parenting issues - Outreach work. Some community work established in Athersley area. Contact the Family Centre for details.

NCH Young Carers Project
The young carers project offers advice and support to children and young people under the age of 18, who find themselves carrying out significant tasks and assuming a level of responsibility for another person that would usually be taken on by an adult.

NSPCC Churchfields, Barnsley
Offers a children’s rights service to children and young people who are looked after by social services. Also provides a volunteers’ service that provides independent visitors to visit children and young people who have little or no contact with their families. In addition, the team offers counselling and therapeutic support for looked after children.
