Barnsley Beacon Support Services
We are a support group for parents, families and friends of substance misusers. As part of our commitment to raise awareness on drugs and drug related issues on behalf of the Children and Young People's Board, we offer a presentation on how family life changes when a family member starts to misuse substances. We look at family life before substance misuse, the different types of drugs and their effects, the indications and evidence of substance misuse and how things change and why. We are willing to give presentations to parents and families as well as children in schools.
