Antenatal Results and Choices
ARC started in 1988, originally as SATFA, and is the only national charity which provides non-directive support and information to parents throughout the antenatal testing process. Our role is to help parents arrive at the most appropriate decision for them in the context of their family life. It is governed by a board of trustees made up of parent members and professionals, and is supported by a medical advisory body and a team of patrons.

Association of Breastfeeding Mothers
We all know that breastfeeding is "normal", but it seems that our society views breastfeeding initiation as an optional extra. The NHS seems to have abdicated its responsibilities for clinical breastfeeding care to the voluntary agencies and therefore such skills are not viewed as necessary for health professionals. No other area of clinical care gives the option to "opt out" of best practice. Achieving Baby Friendly Initiative status may be optional but it is the only evidence- based framework of benchmarked clinical care standards for breastfeeding care and as such its standards should not be viewed as optional. The breastfeeding rates in Australia and Norway are far better than the UK. If other countries in the West can achieve good breastfeeding rates, why can't we?

BabyLoss
Babyloss is a UK-based resource of information and support for bereaved parents and their families who have lost a baby at any stage of pregnancy, at birth, or due to neonatal death. The organisation was established in 2000, and is run by a small team of volunteer administrators and forum moderators.
The Babyloss website provides information and support online for anyone affected by the death of a baby during pregnancy, at birth, or shortly afterwards.
We hold an annual Awareness Campaign each October, joining forces with four national charities to plan remembrance events, distribute ribbon pins, and to raise awareness of pregnancy loss and infant loss amongst the general public and within the health sector.

BabyMilkAction
Baby Milk Action gives you an insight into the politics of breastfeeding. They highlight breastfeeding issues across the world with particular emphasis on developing countries.
The World Health Organisation (WHO) estimates that reversing the decline in breastfeeding could save 1.5 million lives every year, yet baby food companies continue to market artificial foods in ways that undermine breastfeeding. The people responsible have names and addresses - call on them to market products ethically.
